1 Guide rail and bearing:Guide rails and bearings at all shafts shall be kept clean and well lubricated. If the manipulator is operating in a dusty environment, the guide rail needs to be cleaned frequently. If you find any metal fragments or powder, it's probably not well lubricated. In order to ensure proper lubrication, it is critical to have proper linear guidance systems, most manipulators have automatic lubrication systems and components that need to be replaced regularly.

2 manipulator cycle period:One of the keys to keeping the manipulator in good working order is simple observation and listening, which can reveal a lot about the overall operation of the manipulator. The manipulator works by specific actions, so it listens for any abnormal sounds, such as squeals, clicks, etc., which indicate that the bearings cannot be rotated properly or that some other member is stuck. The manipulator link, moving along a guide with power cables and vacuum hoses, makes a normal clicking sound, but this sound is smooth and stable.Check any bearings that can be observed to make sure they are rotating smoothly.Simply checking and listening for signs of wear or adjustment can go a long way toward keeping the manipulator in optimal working condition.

3 Drive system:If the manipulator is driven by a rack - drive gear, note if any hesitation or shaking occurs during operation.Any movement other than smooth and smooth motion can indicate damage to the drive system or some foreign matter stored in it.When the manipulator pushes down the movement, the quick inspection between the assembly beam and the transmission gear action or the gear gap method is to push and drag the moving arm, the sense of abnormal movement (back and forth action is different). However, due to the very high tolerance accuracy of normal manufacturers, this test method will be very inaccurate. If you suspect that there may be a problem with the assembly beam and transmission gear, a better approach is to use the length of the magnetic gauge stand. After adjusting the tooth gap according to the manufacturer's instructions, check the entire stroke of the shaft to ensure that there is no too tight place between the assembly beam and the transmission gear.If the gear gap cannot be adjusted, then the assembly frame and transmission gear may become worn and need to be replaced. If the assembly frame and transmission gear must be repaired, it is best to replace both components to ensure long-term performance. As for the conveyer driven shaft, pay close attention to the debris falling from the belt and the damage itself.Check the pulleys carefully for signs of dust from the conveyor material.Ensure conveyor belts and transmission pulleys and slotted wheels are in full alignment. An errant conveyor belt wears away very quickly. As long as it is a conveyor belt driven system, according to the manufacturer's instructions to check the pre-loading of the belt itself. These specifications will tell you the appropriate amount of error relative to the pulley at the specific location of the conveyor belt.

4 Pneumatic system:Including multi-axis servo drive, as long as there is a wrist rotation and vacuum grasp action, almost all manipulator will have pneumatic function.Pay close attention to the suction cups of the filter pressure regulating valve unit, where water accumulates to indicate excessive humidity of the compressed air source passing through the system. The presence of a small amount of water vapor may be transmitted to the pneumatic valve and actuator, causing oxidation and internal contamination, which may eventually result in the pressure regulating valve sticking or the actuator intermittently sticking or failing. If the sucker is equipped with an automatic dehumidification system, contamination or discoloration on the sucker can also indicate an increase in moisture prior to removal. If water collects in the sucker, it can get into the system even for a short time, causing the problem described above. If you notice any physical damage to the pneumatic hose, there may be a leak in the system.

If the loop is filled with air at normal operating pressure, and there is a leak somewhere in the loop, you should be more likely to detect a distinct sizzle that will help you locate the leak.

5. Check the forming equipment:The standard manipulator is usually mounted on the formwork of the forming equipment. When the equipment is in rapid operation, the vibration from the forming equipment may be transmitted to the mechanical hand and can cause damage.Simply observe the operation of the molding equipment, ensure that the mold movement is adjusted to a reasonable state, reduce the number of shaking or vibration, can extend the life of the manipulator. In the case of high speed operation, the vibration frequency may be very high, it is best to install the manipulator on a supporting structure independent of the forming equipment.

6 pay attention to wiring wear:When examining the surface of the manipulator, if black particles or powder are found, it indicates that the wiring of the manipulator shows signs of wear. However, even if you do not find these wear signals, take a close look at all the power, transformer or encoder cables, both inside and outside the wiring path, because during the production cycle, the wiring of the continuous friction manipulator, or the wiring attached to the cable guide, will eventually wear out and fail.Ensure the safety of wiring tie - up and proper cable installation.
